Designer Showcase
Winter 26
This collection was presented at the Liberty Hotel as part of the Fashionably Late series, featuring twelve handcrafted looks organized into three distinct rounds, each exploring a unique design focus.
Round One investigates materiality and surface through four independent gown designs. By combining varied textures, mixed media, and experimental techniques—such as free-motion machine embroidery, pleating, sculpted negative space, and ceramic embellishments—these pieces emphasize depth, tactility, and visual complexity.
Round Two reexamines the language of traditional suiting. While maintaining the integrity of classic tailoring, patternmaking, and silhouette, these designs reinterpret familiar structures through abstraction and material exploration. Conventional suiting fabrics are transformed to challenge expectations while honoring their origins.
Round Three expands upon the cowl, a timeless design element traditionally associated with fluidity and drape. Typically cut on the bias and placed at the neckline, the cowl is reimagined here as a central structural and sculptural device. This series pushes beyond conventional placement and function, integrating cowls with varied materials, constructed forms, and vintage metal elements to create innovative silhouettes and new spatial relationships within the garment.
Every piece in this collection is meticulously handcrafted, reflecting a commitment to experimentation, craftsmanship, and redefinition of traditional forms.
